Redatory Gets Another Lone Star Park Win in the Texas Horse Racing Hall of Fame Stakes
Grand Prairie, Texas (Tuesday, August 11, 2020) - James Wessel's Redatory scored his second stakes win this meet with a victory in the $50,000 Texas Horse Racing Hall of Fame Stakes at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf. Trained by Allen Dupuy and ridden to victory by Lane Luzzi, the five-year-old gelding by Oratory raced comfortably inside behind the leaders and swung wide on the far turn to gain the lead at the top of the stretch. He then wore down the competition, winning by a half a length.
"I think Redatory runs better with a target," said jockey Lane Luzzi. "I could tell down the backstretch when he was pulling me along that I was in good shape."
Redatory was the favorite and returned $5.40, $3.20 and $2.60. Kenai Bob was second and paid $4.60 and $2.80. Sunlit Song showed and paid $2.40. Moojab Jr. completed the Superfecta, followed by Lethal Move for the Pick 5. Right Lane Lukasz, He's a Suitor, Bubba Bling, Gold Pilot and Trumps Revenge completed the order of finish.
Redatory completed the mile and a sixteenth in 1:42.21. Fractions were not available. |
