POST-RACE QUOTES – TEXAS THOROUGHBRED FUTURITY COLT & GELDING DIVISION

Brian Hernandez, Jr.  (Winning jockey, Galactica)

"Galactica gets all the credit tonight. All I had to do was sit up there and be a good passenger. He broke and showed how athletic he was. He put himself in a nice spot, and I just had to stay out of his way and let him show his talent. I was impressed how he crossed under the wire, and I think he's going to go on to be a nice horse."

Brad Grady (Winning owner, Galactica)

"Me and Carl partner on quite a few horses, and we have a limit on how much we'll pay, and I asked Carl how much we're going to pay for this horse, and he said we're buying him. That scared me because when he sets his mind on something, it's over. Carl found the horse, and when he told me about him and I came out, he was everything Carl told me he was. Kudos to Brian for giving him a heck of a ride. I appreciate Carl's friendship and partnership, and we have a lot of fun."

Ted Gondron (jockey, Aceguitar 2nd)

"I knew after he broke his maiden he had talent. He was punching on pretty good tonight: just couldn't getter job done."
