Grand Prairie, Texas (Sunday, July 14, 2019) - In the first of four stakes on Sunday's Stars of Texas Day card at Lone Star Park, Gee She Sparkles ran away for an easy win in the $109,167 Texas Thoroughbred Futurity for fillies. Breaking from post 12, Gee She Sparkles stalked three wide in third until making her move in the turn, then took command in the stretch, winning going away by 5 1/2 lengths in the five & one half furlong futurity. Top Hat Charmer was up for place, and Viv was up for the show. Final time was 1:06.15 behind fractions of :22.41, :46.35 and :59.30. The track was listed fast.

Winning owners were GFB Racing LLC and Danny Pish. Pish also trains Gee She Sparkles, a striking grey filly by Race Day. Danny Sorenson was aboard for the win today, her second from two career starts. That perfect record has raised a total of $79,301 in earnings.

Wagers returned $11.80, $5.20 and $4.00 on the winner, $9.40 and $5.80 for Top Hat Charmer in second, and $21.20 for the show wager on Viv. It's My Money was fourth, followed by Ignis in fifth. Betting favorite Sing the Song finished sixth. Maria Elena Y. G., Tambeaux Fina, Tap and Spin, Flat Precious and Fire of Gold completed the order of finish. No Mas Tequila was a late trainer scratch.
