Ace N Kings, Lady Giacomo Favored
in Respective Divsions of TTA Sale Futurity Saturday at LSP
(Grand Prairie, Texas - June 3, 2010) - Saturday’s
21st running of the $60,280 TTA Sales Futurity Stakes (Colts and
Geldings Division) for two-year-olds, to be run at five furlongs,
features Caroline Dodwell’s undefeated Aces N Kings, trained
by Bob Young.
A bay son of Jet Phone, Aces N Kings has been an impressive winner
in his first two starts, including a two-length victory in the TTA
Sales Futurity Trials (colts and gelding division) at Lone Star
Park on May 21, where he ran five-furlongs in :58.86, the fastest
qualifying time. Jockey Eguard Tejera, who has ridden him in his
two wins, has the mount.
"He’s been training very well and he’s coming
into this race the right way,” said his trainer Bob Young.
Aces N Kings has already defeated two key rivals in the TTA Sales
Futurity. Evil Officer, trained by Charles Hukill, finished second
behind Aces N Kings by more than six lengths in his career debut,
and Tamtastic, trained by Bret Calhoun, finished two lengths behind
Aces N Kings in second place while qualifying for the TTA Sales
Futurity final.

Lady Giacomo Out to Stay Unbeaten in TTA Sales Futurity
Filly Division
The 18th running of the $66,090 TTA Sales Futurity Stakes (Fillies
Division) is the first half of a stakes doubleheader for two-year-olds
at Lone Star Park on Saturday. Trainer Allen Milligan will send
out Lady Giacomo for owners JRita Young Thoroughbreds LLC. Unbeaten
in two starts, Lady Giacomo has made light work of her competition
while recording open lengths victories.
On May 20 at Lone Star Park, Lady Giacomo was the fastest qualifier
in the TTA Sales Futurity Trials (fillies division) by running a
sharp five-furlongs in :58.44. She has been made the 4-5 morning
line favorite by track oddsmaker Rick Lee.
Perhaps the biggest threat to Lady Giacomo is the Cash Asmussen-trained
Blushing Sis. Also a daughter of Giacomo, Blushing Sis has won two
of her first three starts and was the second fastest qualifier in
the TTA Sales Futurity Trials (fillies division) with a five-furlong
time of 59.19.
Another contender trained by Cash Asmussen could be Markpoint
Stables’ Lady Primal, a winner of the $50,000 Manor Downs
Thoroughbred Futurity on April 18, the daughter of Primal Storm
is also two for three in her career.
