Treasured Judy Wins Paint N Appy
Big Cap at SHRP Houston, Texas (September 5, 2003)
- A field of ten Paints and Appaloosas went postward in tonight's
feature at Sam Houston Race Park, the $10,250 Paint 'N Appy Big
Cap. The favorite, Treasured Judy, was much the best, drawing off
to a 1 1/2 length win. Owned by Dena Todd of Wheelock, Texas, the
3-year-old sorrel filly has won each of her five starts this year,
including stakes wins at Remington Park and Fair Meadows at Tulsa.
Treasured Judy ($4.40) is trained by Ron Gilmer and was ridden to
victory by Alvin "Bubba" Brossette, crossing the wire
of the 400-yard stakes in a time of :20.338.
