(Houston, Texas - Thursday, July 15, 2010) - The trials for the Adequan Texas Derby Challenge (G3) for three-year-olds going 400 yards were held on Thursday, July 15 at Sam Houston Race Park. Joe Allen and Dallas Blakely's favored Golly Zee emerged as the fastest qualifier, leading all the way in the first trial and pulling away to a dominant two length win in :19.897. The three-year-old bay filly by Gol out of the Zevi mare Zee Ann earned a Speed Index of 97 for her effort. She is trained by Judd Kearl and was ridden to victory by Rodrigo Sigala Vallejo.
