(Houston, Texas - Saturday, June 26, 2010) - The trials for the Bank of America Texas Challenge Championship for three-year-olds and upward going 440 yards and the Merial Distaff Texas Challenge for fillies and mares, three-year-olds and upward, going 400 yards were held on Saturay, June 26 at Sam Houston Race Park.

In the Bank of America Texas Challenge Championship trials, Jesus Huitron's favored Easy Dashin Sixes emerged as the fastest qualifier, rallying to the lead and pulling clear to a 1 1/4 length victory in :21.632. The five-year-old bay gelding by Streakin Sixes out of the Dash For Cash mare Easy Dashin Flo earned a Speed Index of 97 for his effort. He is trained by Eusevio Huitron and was ridden to victory by David Pinion.

Kathleen O'Matey's Wowzer Won was the fastest qualifier for the Merial Distaff Challenge for fillies and mares going 400 yards. The five-year-old mare by Streakin Sixes out of the Calyz mare Four Oh Won managed to get up at the wire for a neck win over Coeur D Alene in :19.884 to earn a Speed Index of 97. She is trained by Judd S. Kearl and was ridden to victory by Rodrigo Sigala Vallejo.
