(Houston, Texas - Thursday, June 24, 2010) - The trials for the Pfizer TX Starter Allowance Challenge for three-year-olds and upward going 350 yards were held on Thursday, June 24at Sam Houston Race Park. Douglas O. Traylor's favored Klassy Lad emerged as the fastest qualifier, dueling for the lead in his trial before pulling away to a half-length victory in :17.970. The four-year-old bay gelding by Stoli out of the A Classic Dash mare Mighty Classy Lassy earned a Speed Index of 90 for his effort. He is trained by Judd Kearl and was ridden to victory by Rodrigo Vallejo.
