Pandorum Fastest Qualifier for the John Deere Texas Juvenile Challenge at Sam Houston Race Park
(Houston, Texas - Friday, April 29, 2011) - Owner/breeder Joe Kirk Fulton's filly Pandorum made a promising racing debut as Jose Alvarez drove the daughter of Tres Seis and the Strawfly Special mare Daring Diversion to a 2 1/4 length victory in her trial for $88,740 John Deere Texas Juvenile Challenge (G3) for two-year-olds at Sam Houston Race Park. Her time of :17.688 made her the fastest qualifier and just one of three qualifiers for the May 14 final for Fulton, jockey Alvarez, and trainer L. R. "Tooter" Jordan. Jordan also saddled the filly Sweet Oblivion to win the first trials of the night and become the eighth fastest qualifier, while their filly, Body Of Evidence, finished second in the seventh trial and earned her spot in the final with the tenth fastest qualifying time.
