Odds-On Zoomin For Bux Speeds to New Track Record in $239,099 Retama Park Futurity

(Sunday, June 18, 2006) - Odd-On favorite Zoomin For Bux did not disappoint in today's $239,099 Retama Park Futurity (Gr. 1), storming to a track record-setting victory by three-quarters of a length over Angelina Ballerina. Owner/trainer Jose M. Joe Garza's two-year-old chestnut colt stopped the timer in :17.240 for the 350 yards.

Zoomin For Bux, sent off at odds of 2-to-5, broke sharply under jockey Martin Rubalcava and dueled with the Angelina Ballerina for the lead throughout the contest, gradually edging clear for a comfortable victory over the filly. It was another 1 3/4 lengths back to Beaukas in third place, who was followed past the wire by Easy Separation, Ace Mudslinger, First Smart Winner, Prospect of More, Off You Go, and Copper Streaker.
