Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Trials
This Weekend at Manor Downs (March 26, 2004)
- The Manor Downs Paint and Appaloosa Futurity Trials scheduled
for Saturday, March 27, will highlight racing at Manor Downs this
weekend. This race is exclusively for two-year-old Paint and Appaloosa
horses going 300 yards, and it is rated as a G3 by the American
Paint Horse Association.
After nominations closed, a total of 20 head entered to run in
the trials. With nominations and the guaranteed $10,000 added money
tabulated, the total purse the two-year-olds will be running for
in the finals is $28,200.
The first heat for the Paint and Appaloosa trials will be race
5 on Saturday, with an approximate post time of 3:02 p.m. The second
heat will be race 6 at approximately 3:25 p.m. The horses that post
the ten fastest times will qualify for the finals, which is scheduled
to be run on Saturday, April 10. Good luck to all participants,
and we hope to see everyone at the races.
