Trump My Record Returns to Compete in the RG3 $100,000 B. F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes Saturday Night at Lone Star Park

(Grand Prairie, Texas - Thursday, November 19, 2020) - Fan favorite Trump My Record is entered in the $100,000 B. F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes (RG3) this Saturday, a race restricted to Texas-bred horses. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. First race post time is 6:05 p.m.

Fans were disappointed a couple of weeks ago when Trump My Record failed to qualify for the Texas Classic Derby. Though he won his trial race that night, he ended up with the 11th fastest time, knocking him out of the final by one place.

Trump My Record's career record is 12 wins and one second from 15 starts. His earnings total is at $915,068. His record at the Grand Prairie track is four wins and one second from six starts, including last year's Texas Classic Futurity (G1). He is owned by Gilbert Pacheco, III of Frisco, Texas and trained by Jose Luis Sanchez, III. Jose's brother, Eddie Sanchez, will be aboard for the Phillips, Jr. Stakes. Eddie has ridden him for all but one of his races.

There will be some competition for Trump My Record in the Phillips. Javier Rosique's graded stakes winner Jordan Eagle, third in the Refrigerator this year, will compete. This four-year-old horse is by One Famous Eagle out of Pyc Prize Doll, by Pyc Paint Your Wagon. He has won five of 12 lifetime starts for $260,858. He is trained by this meet's current leading trainer, Alonso Neri, and will be ridden by veteran Rodrigo Vallejo. Vallejo has won this race three times previously in 2005, 2006 and 2017.

Graded stakes winner Kiss My Whuut has also won five of 12 lifetime starts, earning $203,071. The three-year-old son of Kiss My Hocks out of the Jody O Tool mare Not My Choice placed third in the Dash For Cash Derby at Lone Star Park earlier this meet and just won a $25,000 allowance at the track on October 31. Toby Keeton trains Kiss My Whuut for owner Three Bar T Quarter Horses of Kingsville, Texas. Tanner Thedford will ride.

Here is the complete field for the 23rd running of the $100,000 B. F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes (RG3) in post-position order, with jockey and morning-line odds:

1) Jordan Eagle, Rodrigo Sigala Vallejo, 8-5

The Phillips, Jr. Stakes is the scheduled 10th race on the 12-race card. Post time is at 10:17 p.m.

Including this Saturday, there are only three days of live racing remaining. Closing day of the meet will be Saturday, November 28.
