Mr Jo Eagle the Victor in 18th Running of the $25,000 B. F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes (RG3) Thursday at Lone Star Park

(Grand Prairie, Texas - Thursday, November 5, 2015) - It was Dan W. Nicks' Mr Jo Eagle that once out of the gate and after a very brief duel with second place finisher Notavailableinstores, took the lead and determinedly raced to the wire ahead of the others like he was on an important mission to win the $25,000 B. F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes (RG3).

With Agustin Silva aboard, post time favorite Mr Jo Eagle completed the 400 yards over a muddy (sealed) racetrack in :19.462 seconds, earning a speed index of 101 for the effort. Lil Famous Dash was up for third.

This was eighth win out of 21 career starts for the four-year-old gelding by One Famous Eagle. The increase put his total earnings at $136,053.

For those who wagered, Mr Jo Eagle returned $2.60, $2.10 and $2.10. Notavailableinstores returned $4.20 and $2.80. Lil Famous Dash paid $2.80 for those with show wagers. Hiclass Vodka, Rare Legs, Pursuit of Duty, Msg Image of Sixes and Cabana Girl completed the order of finish.

This was the second stakes win of the meet for trainer R. L. Rick Robinson.
