Cash At the Line Takes Another Run at JEH Stallion Station at LSP
(Wednesday, November 5, 2008) - Cash At the Line, owned
by Julie Irwin Cotton and trained by Judd Kearl, has been installed
as the 2-1 morning line favorite by track oddsmaker Rick Lee for
the 7th running of the 550 yard, $20,000 JEH Stallion Station Handicap,
for three-year-olds and upward, this Friday at Lone Star Park.
A California-bred son of Takin On the Cash, Cash At the Line in
a dead-heat for second in the JEH Stallion Station Handicap in 2007
as a four-year-old. In his most recent start, the brown gelding
overcame a poor start to finish fourth in the $20,000 6666 Handicap,
going 400 yards at Lone Star Park on Oct. 24.
A competitive renewal, the JEH Stallion Station Handicap also
includes Jess Flashy, a three-year-old daughter of Jess Louisiana
Blue who finished third in the Grade 1 Dash For Cash Derby at Lone
Star Park on Oct. 25, and Grade 3 stakes-placed Six Moons Streakin,
who finished a neck behind Cash At the Line in his most recent start
when second in the $18,000 Spring Stakes at Sam Houston Park on
August 15.
Also of note in the JEH Stallion Station Handicap is the Grade
1 tested Work Work Work, the field’s leading money earner
with $116,580 in career earnings, and Easy Blue Phats, a 550-yard
specialist who most recently took home the top prize in a non-winners
of one allowance event at Lone Star Park on Oct. 17.
The field from the rail out, with jockey and morning line odds
listed in parenthesis, consists of: Jess Flashy (Russel Hadley,
8-1), Easy Blue Phats (Ricky Ramirez, 8-1), Work Work Work (Arturo
Carrillo, 10-1), Running Wood (Donaciano Arriaga, 15-1), Cash At
the Line (Rodrigo Vallejo, 2-1), Swiss Yodeler (Zacharie Shane Kelsey,
8-1), Patriot Arrival (Adalberto Candanosa, 7-2) and Six Moons Streakin
(Fidencio Hernandez, 3-1).
Scheduled as race 10 on the 11-race program, the JEH Stallion
Station Handicap has an approximate post time of 10:11 p.m.
Lone Star Park’s 31-day, 2008 Quarter Horse Fall Meeting
of Champions will be held from September 26 to November 29. After
the opening weekend on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26-27, racing
will be held every Thursday through Saturday in October and each
Wednesday through Saturday in November, except Wednesday and Thursday,
Nov. 26-27 when there will be no live racing due to the Thanksgiving
