RC Me Leaving You Attempts Second Straight B. F. Phillips, Jr Stakes (RG3) Win Saturday at Lone Star Park

(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, November 3, 2017) - RC Me Leaving You, owned by Bennie & Terri Jeter, has already defended one title here successfully this meet. Can he do it again? He is the morning line favorite in Saturday's 20th renewal of the $25,000 B. F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes (RG3). The 400-yard contest is the scheduled seventh race on the nine-race card. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. First race post time is 6:35 p.m.

The five-year-old bay son of Coronas Leaving You won two stakes here last year, the Nevill Document Solutions Stakes and the B. F. Phillips, Jr. He repeated in the Nevill in September, becoming the second horse in the 20-year history of the race to win it in back-to-back years. Frist Class Fred was the first. He won the Nevill in 2011 and 2012.

The most accomplished horse in the field as far as earnings, RC Me Leaving You has a bankroll of $173,462. From 23 lifetime starts, he has six wins, five seconds and was third seven times. His record at Lone Star Park is 8-4-2-2, with earnings totaling $102,929.

If he wins the Phillips Saturday he will be the only horse to win the race twice. Rc Me Leaving You is trained by Jimmy Padgett and will be ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo.
