We Are Going to Scare Up Some Fun on Halloween and Even the Horses Are Participating Friday Night at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Thursday, October 30, 2014) - The horses are in on the Halloween action again this year at Lone Star Park. The fifth race on Friday, October 31, is the Spooky Sprint!
Horses entered in the Spooky Sprint are encouraged to get their "ghoul" on and dress up in their Halloween best. All costumed horses in the race are eligible to win a cash prize for the best costume. Come out and scream for your favorite ghostly goblin galloping down the stretch.
A special first race post time is scheduled for 6:50 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and approximate post time for the Spooky Sprint is 8:11 p.m.
Cash prizes will also be given to the groom with the best costume and the best costumed pony horse and rider.

Masterchef Junior Contestant from Grand Prairie to Be Guest Judge of Best Decorated Horse
Jessica Stephens, age 11 from Grand Prairie, Texas, a contestant on the popular hit FOX show MASTERCHEF JUNIOR with chef Gordon Ramsay, will be on hand Friday at Lone Star Park. She will be one of the judges on our panel that will be selecting the best decorated horse in the Spooky Sprint (race 5) and present the winner after the race.
The MASTERCHEF JUNIOR series season premier is this Tuesday night, November 4, on Fox.
