Arabian Juvenile Stakes, Gridiron Challenge Series and Headless Horseman Happening This Friday at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Thursday, October 24, 2019) - Friday, October 25 features the divisional $20,000 Texas Arabian Lone Star Juvenile Stakes, the third leg of the Friday Night Lights Gridiron Challenge Series and an appearance from the Headless Horseman at Lone Star Park. Gates open Friday at 5:00 p.m. First race starts at 6:05 p.m. Featured races on the 12-race card begin with race 2, the $20,000 colt & gelding division of the Texas Arabian Lone Star Juvenile Stakes for three-year-olds going six furlongs. Rosebrook Farm's RB DOUBLE DOWN broke his maiden here last month, winning by three lengths at the same distance. He is trained by leading Arabian trainer Jerenesto Torrez and Kelsi Purcell will be aboard. He is one of three entered in this by Jerenesto Torrez for Rosebrook Farm.

Gridiron Challenge Series
Race 11 is the Gridiron Challenge #3 (third qualifying leg) for three-year-olds & up at 100 yards. The first and second place finishers in this super-short race will automatically qualify for the final race of the series. The series final will take place on Friday, November 8.
Headless Horseman
Watch for the spooky Headless Horseman. Fans can catch a glimpse of him aboard his ghostly steed galloping down the track after the third race (approximately 7:10 p.m.). He will then ride into the grassy area of the Courtyard of Champions for fans to see up close and take photos. |
