Apollitical Blood a Standout - Is Fastest Qualifier for $415,690 Grade 1 Texas Classic Derby at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, October 23, 2015) - The field is set for the 23rd running of the $415,690 Grade 1 Texas Classic Derby, to be held here on Saturday, November 14, 2015.
Grade 1 All American Derby winner Apollitical Blood made it look so easy under a hand ride by jockey Eduardo Nicasio. The gelding by Apollitical Jess posted the fastest time for the 440 yards of :21.262 seconds over a sloppy track. His three and three-quarter length victory was so impressivethat it was like an afternoon walk in the park, not to mention it guaranteed his spot in the Derby final.
