Sixes Streak Records Fastest Qualifying Time for Grade 1, $1,252,909 Texas Classic Futurity Saturday, November 12 at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Saturday, October 22, 2011) - Sixes Streak, owned by Jerry Windham and trained by Heath Taylor, was the fastest qualifier among 124 starters in the Texas Classic Futurity Trials at Lone Star Park Saturday night. With G.R. Carter, Jr. aboard, the bay son of Streakin Sixes dashed 400 yards in 19.228 seconds over a fast track.
Sixes Streak, winner of the Grade 1, $414,045 Dash for Cash Futurity October 8 at Lone Star Park, will be seeking to become only the second horse to sweep the Dash for Cash Futurity and Texas Classic Futurity (Tempting Dash, 2009).
The Grade 1, $1,252,909 Texas Classic Futurity, the richest annual horse race in Texas, will be run Saturday, November 12, closing night of Lone Star Park’s 2011 Fall Meeting of Champions for Quarter Horses.
