Llano Teller Fastest Qualifier In Texas Classic Derby Trials at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, October 21, 2011) - Llano Teller, owned by Wootan Racing and Reed Land & Cattle and trained by Heath Reed, recorded the fastest qualifying time in the Texas Classic Derby trials over a fast track at Lone Star Park Friday night. With Ramon Sanchez aboard, the bay son of Teller Cartel completed the 440 yards assignment with ease in 21.120 seconds.
The Grade 1, $335,631 Texas Classic Derby will be run Saturday, Nov. 12, closing night of Lone Star Park’s 2011 Fall Meeting of Champions for Quarter Horses.
