Trump My Record the Fastest Qualifier - Will Advance to Grade 1, $904,632 Texas Classic Futurity Final at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Saturday, October 19, 2019) - After the 13th trial was official the field was set for the $904,632 Texas Classic Futurity (G1), which will be featured on closing night of the Quarter Horse Season. Also featured that night is the $344,572 Texas Classic Derby (G1), the $47,612 Texas Classic Juvenile Stakes and the $30,000 Paragon Oaks. They all take place on Saturday, November 9.
A colt by Apollitical Blood out of Breck N Records, by Pyc Paint Your Wagon, Trump My Record, won the first trial of the night, clocking the 400 yards in :19.467. That was the time to beat, but none did. Trump My Record, who is owned by Cruz E. Nava, held on as the fastest qualifier through the remaining 12 trials. Brothers Joe & Eddie Sanchez were the top jockey/trainer team of the fastest qualifier. My Fast Prize placed second in the first trial and also qualified with the 10th fastest time of :19.821 seconds.
