(Grand Prairie, Texas - Saturday, October 17, 2020) - Nevill Stakes winner Ss Classyjess just keeps on winning. The four-year-old mare by Rock Solid Jess was the favorite in the 400-yard contest for Texas-bred fillies & mares. She did not disappoint. Breaking from the far outside with jockey J. Ignacio Garcia up, she crossed the finish in :19.875 seconds on a fast track.

Ss Classyjess paid $3.40. Second place went to Jess Eleven or Seven, and third went to Kiss My Lassie. Ima Tempting Girl, Lj Moonrise, I Got Daddys Eyes, Mystical Jess, Jlc First Prize Elva, Jess Worthy and Apollitical Mogul completed the order of finish. Dm First Talent and Mia Favoritta were both scratched at the gate.

The win upped Ss Classyjess' earnings to $251,773. This was her fourth straight stakes win. She is owned by Edgar Rosales of Temple, Texas. Jose Carrizales is her conditioner.

First Classs Much the Best in the Grade 3 Texas Arabian Spring Stakes

A field of eleven Arabians broke from the starting gate in the $35,750 Texas Arabian Juvenile Sprint Stakes (G3), all vying for the first place prize. You wouldn't have thought the outcome at the start when winning favorite First Classs ($5.20) was pinched back badly between horses. With Lucas Berticelli aboard, the three-year-old gelding by Dahess slowly passed each his rivals from last to first to win going away. Final time for the six furlongs was 1:20.24 behind fractions of :24.89, :51.36 and 1:05.66. The win was his third straight.

In second was Rb Lara followed by California Sand Js, Aa Rich Mother, Rb Game Over, Lapcos Bonus, Uptown Georgie, Wma Sand Flee, Crownn Thess, Sand Canyoun Js and Wma North Wind. Aa Dbuster was a late scratch.

With the winner's share of the purse, First Classs' earnings are now $30,260 from his race record of 5-3-1-0.
