Sharida Nasser Al Rabbi's Status Symboll will go up against Sam A. Vazquez's Golly Bret and five others in the colts and geldings division of the Grade 3, $20,000 Arabian Stallion Stakes Friday night.
Both have won their last two races going into tonight’s competition. The slight nod by morning line odds maker, Rick Lee has been given to Golly Bret at 6-5. Trained by Kenneth Nolen, the chestnut horse by Kador De Blaziet has career earnings of $125,458 and 16 wins from 39 lifetime starts. Ken Danyluk, trainer of Status Symboll could take the prize in both divisions Friday night. Given morning line odds of 7-5, the bay horse by Doran Sbfar has bankrolled $73,090 so far from a career record of 43-7-5-4. This is sure to be a good race.
