Illtakeyouforaride the Victor in the Grade 2 AQHA Lone Star Distance Challenge Saturday at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Saturday, October 3, 2020) - With the late scratch of Let There Be Sound, it was down to six horses in the AQHA Lone Star Distance Challenge (G3). Winning the race by a five-and-a-half length margin was Illtakeyouforaride ($4). Jockey Kelsi Purcell was aboard the six-year-old gelding by Fdd Dynasty, who is trained by Michael Joiner, finishing the 870 yard race in a quick :44.979 seconds over a fast track.
Second place went to Sw Bullet Proof, followed by Dance the Dust Off, Billy Big Rock, The Runaway Favorite and Cat Daddie. Let There Be Sound was a late scratch.
The win earned Illtakeyouforaride an automatic berth in the $100,000 AQHA Distance Challenge Championship (G1) that will be contested later this month at The Downs at Albuquerque. |
