Her O Don Won Fastest Qualifier for $174,400 Grade 2 Dash For Cash Derby on October 11 at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, September 26, 2014) - The field was decided tonight for the 17th running of the $174,400 Dash for Cash Derby (G2). The top 10 horses with the fastest times tonight will advance to the final. The Dash for Cash Derby final will be held at Lone Star Park on Saturday, October 11.
In the fifth race tonight at 440 yards, Her O Don Won clocked the fastest time of :21.468 making him the fastest of the other 54 entrants that were split into six trials. After losing his footing at the start, the gelding by Valiant Hero rallied to win impressively by a half-length over a fast track. Her O Don Won is owned by Richard R. Scott and trained by Russell Harris. He was ridden to victory by veteran Larry D. Payne.

The ninth and final trial race of the night produced the most qualifiers with four advancing to the final.
