Chilitos Clocks the Fastest 400-Yard Trial for the $344,050 Grade 2, Dash For Cash Futurity at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Sunday, September 22, 2019) - It was Chilitos who set the bar high in the first trial (race 4) of the night when he clocked the 400-yard distance in :19.769 seconds on a fast track. Trial after trial, his time held, and no one could match it. It was the second career win for the gelded son of Apollitical Jess, who is out of Mary Me Anna by Game Patriot. Chilitos is trained by Adrian Huitron and was ridden by Nestor Duran.
In race 11, Trump My Record shook up the order with the second fastest clocking at :19.871, but was bumped to third when Domishay clocked in at :19.816 in the final trial of the night.
There were a total of 87 two-year-olds divided into nine trials tonight, all vying for a spot in the gate to the 22nd running of the $344,050 Dash for Cash Futurity (G2) final. The final will be contested on Saturday, October 5.

Because there were fewer than 100 total horses entered in the trials, there will not be a consolation this year.
