(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, September 20, 2013) - The field was decided tonight for the 16th running of the $161,500 Dash for Cash Derby (G2). Five trial races were held and the top 10 fastest times from those trials earned a spot in the final to be held here on Saturday, October 5.

Louisiana Corona, trained by Luis Villafranco and ridden by G. R. Carter, Jr., posted the fastest time of the night at the 440 yard distance, over a muddy track. The filly by Jess Louisiana Blue stopped the timer in 21.278 earning a speed index of 98. She is owned by Jason Richards & Michael J. LeBlanc.

Along with the top qualifier, Louisiana Corona, two others qualified from the fifth race, Secret Courage and Panther Blurr. Four qualified from race four, Diamond Prize, Eyem Unstopable, Valiant Lil Lady and Rc Tres Times Seis. Captain Strawfly, Prince Valleyant and Hiclass Vodka all advanced from race seven. There were no qualifiers from the sixth or eighth races.
