Streakin Illusively Wins Opening Night Classic Chevrolet Heartbeat of America Handicap

(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, September 17, 2010) - Five Star Partners’ Streakin Illusively, trained by Judd Kearl, earned his first career stakes victory in the 13th Running of the Grade 3, $25,000 Classic Chevrolet Heartbeat of America Handicap on opening night at Lone Star Park.

Ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo, the 6-year-old sorrel son of Streakin La Jolla didn’t have an anxious moment after breaking well and outrunning his eight rivals to the finish stopping the teletimer in 17.491 for the 350 yard-distance, earning a speed index of 100. It was ¾-of-a-length back to Heavy Croozer in second, and another neck back to third-place finisher Ocean Fun.

“He ran super,” said winning trainer Judd Kearl. “He broke well and ran away from them down the racetrack.”

With the win, Streakin Illusively improved his race record to nine wins from 26 starts and increased his career earnings to $155,247 with the $14,250 winner’s share.

Streakin Illusively paid $5.60, $4.00, $2.80, runner-up Heavy Croozer returned $3.40, $2.20, and Ocean Fun paid $3.00 for show.
