RC Me Leaving You Takes Home the Nevill Stakes Trophy Opening Night at Lone Star Park
(Grand Prairie, Texas - Friday, September 16, 2015) - It was all but over when the gates opened tonight for the 19th renewal of the $20,000 Nevill Stakes Friday at Lone Star Park. The featured eighth race on the opening night card was for Texas-bred three-year-olds & up going 350 yards. And you could almost be sure from the start that Bennie & E. Teri Jeter's Rc Me Leaving You was going to reach the finish first. That's exactly what he did.
With jockey Jose Amador Alvarez up, the four-year-old horse by Coronas Leaving You out of Sixy Bottom, a daughter of Streakin Six, impressed the crowd with a powerful effort. Finishing three-quarters of a length in front of Kw Cowboy, Rc Me Leaving You posted a final time of :17.413 over a fast track, earning a speed index of 102.
