On February 19-20, the Texas Horsemen's Partnership (THP) will have a presence at the Office of Rural Community Affairs' inaugural Rural Texas Summit in Austin. The THP display booth, sponsored by Compass Bank, will be present at the event, and THP staff will be available to give information about our association and what it does to interested federal, state, county and local officials, community leaders, and rural stakeholders.

According to the Office of Rural Community Affairs, the Rural Texas Summit is designed to facilitate group discussions related to rural issues and develop innovative rural legislative initiatives and policies.

A presence at the Rural Texas Summit allows the THP to educate officials and interested parties from many areas about why the THP exists, what it does, and how important the horse racing industry is to the agribusiness economy in Texas.
