The Texas Horsemen's Partnership, LLP, will be hosting Horsemen's Appreciation Parties at Lone Star Park and Retama Park in early June. The party at Lone Star Park will also include a graduation ceremony for all horsemen that have completed the THP's "Groom Elite" course.

The Retama Park Horsemen's Appreciation Party will be held on Tuesday, June 5, in the Alamo Downs Lounge on the clubhouse level of Retama's grandstand. The party will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Barbecue will be served at the Retama party, while the band "Two Way Street" will entertain from 8:00-10:30 p.m. Alcohol will be available. All attendees will receive a T-shirt.

The Lone Star Park Horsemen's Appreciation Party will be held on Tuesday, June 12, in the Texas Thoroughbred Sales Pavilion in Lone Star Park's stable area. The party will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Eddlemon's Barbecue will be served at the Lone Star Park party, and there will be a cash bar available. The band "Two Way Street" will provide the entertainment for the evening. In addition, all attendees will receive a T-shirt.

Also slated for the Lone Star Park party is a graduation ceremony for horsemen that have completed the THP's "Groom Elite" program during Lone Star's current meet. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion and a "Groom Elite" jacket.

If you can be in San Antonio on June 5th for the Retama Park Horsemen's Appreciation Party or in Grand Prairie on June 12th for the Lone Star Park Horsemen's Appreciation Party, make plans to attend. They will be evenings full of good food, good company, and good entertainment, and they are just one way that the THP shows its appreciation for the horsemen that make our sport great in Texas.
