THP Equine Conference Set for October 13 at Texas A&M
The Texas Horsemen's Partnership (THP) is working with Texas A&M University (A&M) once again to conduct an Equine Conference. This year the conference will be held on Saturday, October 13 on the campus of Texas A&M.
The program is being developed under the leadership of THP board member Susan O'Hara and Dr. Pete Gibbs of Texas A&M, along with input and assistance from numerous other racing industry organizations. The conference will provide information on wide range of topics which are of timely interest to all participants in the horse racing industry. Final plans, including topics and speakers, will be announced in early June.
"Our goal is to bring vital information to members of our racing community, which will further their understanding of current issues and hopefully improve their productivity and efficiency," said O'Hara. "We were very pleased with the attendance at the 2000 conference, and those folks expressed a strong desire for us to continue the program."
The College Station Hilton will serve as the host hotel for this year's event, and a block of rooms have been reserved at a rate of $75.00 per night. When making reservations, please state that you are with the Texas Racehorse Conference to get this special rate. Mark your calendar and make plans to attend.
