The 2002 Claiming Crown, featuring six races with total guaranteed purses of $550,000 for claiming horses, will be held on August 31 at Philadelphia Park in Pennsylvania. While the regular nomination deadline has passed, horsemen still have one more chance to enter charges in these lucrative and prestigious races. But the window on that opportunity will is closing quickly. All supplementary nominations are due by Tuesday, August 13.

Horses can be supplemented to the Claiming Crown races at a cost of five percent (5%) of the purse of the race for which the horse is being supplemented. Nomination forms and payment must be received by the Claiming Crown Ltd. office no later than midnight on Tuesday, August 13. All pre-entries for Claiming Crown races must be made by 5 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, August 16. Regular entries close on Tuesday, August 27.
