(Austin, Texas - Tuesday, March 28, 2017) - The Texas Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (TTHBPA) recently concluded its annual Board of Directors election. TTHBPA (Thoroughbreds and Arabians) members were selecting two (2) owner and one (1) trainer representatives. Incumbent Steven Batchelder was re-elected and John Synowsky was elected to serve three-year terms as owners. Meanwhile, trainer Kris Fullerton was elected to serve her first term on the Board.

The new TTHBPA Board of Directors will elect officers at their next meeting sometime in April, as well as the TTHBPA's representatives on the THP's Management Committee.

The THP would like to thank all the candidates who ran for election to serve and represent their fellow Texas horsemen. The THP would also like to thank Bret Calhoun and Mike Danapas for their years of service on behalf of the racing horsemen and women of Texas.
