(Austin, Texas - January 20, 2011) - The Texas Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (TTHBPA) recently concluded its annual Board of Directors election. TTHBPA members were selecting two owner and one trainer representatives. Jerry Durant and incumbent M. Jan Haynes were elected as owner representatives, and incumbent trainer W. Bret Calhoun was re-elected in the trainer category to receive another term on the TTHBPA Board.

Jerry Durant replaces outgoing director Lane Hutchins. The THP would like to express its sincerest gratitude to Lane for her years of service to the THP and its horsemen and women.

The THP would like to thank all the candidates who ran for election to serve and represent their fellow Texas horsemen.
