(Austin, Texas - Wednesday, October 25, 2017) - Today, Texas Racing Commission Exeuctive Director Chuck Trout issued a memo revising the penalty guidelines for clenbuterol overages effective immediately.

According to the memo Trout sent to Texas Racing Commission stewards, the new penalty guidelines for clenbuterol overages are as follows:

Clenbuterol Overages (lifetime):

1st offense - $1,000 fine, 30-day suspension, and loss of purse.

2nd offense - $2,500 fine, 60-day suspension, and loss of purse.

3rd offense - $5,000 fine, 120-day suspension, and loss of purse.
