Governor Perry Appoints Pablos to Texas
Racing Commission Texas Governor Rick Perry has appointed
Rolando Pablos of San Antonio to the Texas Racing Commission (TRC) for
a term to expire on February 1, 2011. The commission oversees pari-mutuel
wagering on horse and greyhound racing. He replaces Treva Boyd of San
Angelo, whose term expired.
Pablos is an attorney at R.B. Pablos P.C., specializing in business development
and international trade promotion. He is vice chair of international relations
for the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce and
board member of the Free Trade Alliance. Pablos is also a board member
of the Nueces River Authority and the San Antonio Zoo.
Pablos received a bachelor’s and law degree from St. Mary’s
University, and master’s degrees from the University of Houston
and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
