The Texas Racing Commission has announced that effective September 1, 2007, all pari-mutuel tickets and vouchers purchased in Texas will be valid for one year from the date of purchase. Additionally, the expiration dates will be printed on the face of the ticket and/or voucher.

The new one-year expiration date is a change from past years. Most recently, the following expiration schedules had existed:

• Tickets purchased from August 1, 2007 through August 31, 2007 expire on September 29, 2008
• Tickets purchased from August 1, 2006 through July 31, 2007 expire on September 29, 2007
