Governor Rick Perry appointed Jesse Adams as Chair of the Texas Racing Commission (TRC), replacing Dyke Rogers as presiding officer. Adams is President of Adams & Polunsky, a real estate and property tax consulting company in San Antonio, and owns Adams Land & Livestock in Helotes, Texas. He was appointed to the Racing Commission in May of 2003 for a term that expires in February of 2009.

Adams currently serves on the Board of Wells Fargo Bank, the Greater San Antonio Builder's Association, and the National Association of Home Builders. He was former Chair of the Zoning Commission of San Antonio and the Texas State Deceptive Trade Task Force. He has served on the Board of Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals, the Mayor's Neighborhood Advisory Committee, the City of San Antonio Planning Commission and the Department of Energy's "Conservation Task Force".

Adams is a graduate of Texas A & M University, a licensed real estate broker, and Senior Property Tax Consultant.
