The Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) has set up an emergency hotline to provide pet owners with information on available shelters by county. The number is: 800-550-8242 and operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pre-selected shelters are currently open and have been receiving evacuating horses and other animals. Lists of available shelters/stabling are also available through local emergency management and the TAHC. These are published on the TAHC website by clicking here.
