(Houston, Texas - April 5, 2011) - Sam Houston Race Park announced today that it will be increasing overnight purses by $1,000.00 per race for the remainder of its Quarter Horse meet.

Sam Houston's 2011 live American Quarter Horse meet commenced on Friday, March 11th. The 30-day racing season will run through Sunday, May 15th with races every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
