Retama Park's 2007 Thoroughbred Meet
Posts Significant Growth Numbers On November 19, officials
at Retama Park released handle and attendance numbers for the track's
Fall Thoroughbred meet. The 2007 Thoroughbred meet was a remarkable success,
as live wagering was up 38%, live attendance was up 11%, and export wagering
increased 24%. The wagering increases are the largest ever experienced
by Retama.
“We are constantly working towards improving our racing product
and the quality of our fan’s entertainment experience,” commented
Retama Park CEO Bryan Brown. “It is extremely gratifying to have
the fans voice their approval via the outstanding results produced.”
Retama Park's Fifty Cent Nights continue to be one of the most popular
family entertainment nights in San Antonio. However, the track produced
attendance and wagering increases on the other nights, as well.
