NTRA/Breeders' Cup Names Lexmark an Official
Partner On August 16, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association
(NTRA) announced that Lexmark International, Inc. has reached an agreement
to become an Official Partner of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association
(NTRA) and an Official Partner of the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred
Championships. The deal begins immediately and runs through July 31, 2007.
As part of the agreement, Lexmark will participate in NTRA’s group
purchasing program to offer NTRA member racetracks, farms and their employees
significant value on Lexmark’s products and solutions.
“We are very proud that Lexmark has decided to join the growing
roster of major corporations that support our Association’s members,”
said Chip Campbell, senior vice president of television and sponsorships
for the NTRA. “This three-year-deal highlights again the mutual
benefits to be had by keying in on the collective buying power of the
Thoroughbred industry. Our members will be able to compete more effectively
both on and off the track.”
"Lexmark membership in the NTRA Group Purchasing program will provide
the Thoroughbred industry with great value on Lexmark's broad line of
easy-to-use printers, as well as ink and toner", said Najib Bahous,
Lexmark vice president and president of its Consumer Printer Division.
“Our products are adaptable to both home and office use, which makes
Lexmark an ideal fit for the program.”
“Most important is Lexmark’s ability to support our members
with a broad range of reliable products and services,” added NTRA
Purchasing president Joe Morris.
