Through the joint efforts of the Texas Horsemen’s Partnership (THP) and Lone Star Park (LSP), the Grand Prairie track will start offering official timed works beginning on Monday, January 27. The THP was one of the driving forces behind Lone Star instituting this new service for horsemen because the organization recognized the increasing difficulties that horsemen in North Texas are facing when trying to obtain official timed works at this time of the year.

Beginning on Monday the 27th, Lone Star Park will offer official timed work every Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. through approximately March 12.

Timed works will be available at a rate of $20 per horse per work. In order for a horse to obtain an official timed work, a copy of the horse’s papers will need to be presented. Official timed works will only be available for trainers and riders licensed in Texas. A gate will not be available for works during this period.

Lone Star Park will officially open the stable area for daily training on March 17. The gate will be available at that time.
