Reserved seats for Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie’s 2004 Thoroughbred seasons go on sale Monday, March 1, at 8:30 a.m. (CST). Patrons can reserve their favorite seating plans for the upcoming Thoroughbred seasons in person at Lone Star Park or by calling (972) 263-PONY or (800) 795-RACE.

This year’s live racing schedule, which features 82 dates of live Thoroughbred racing, includes the 21st running of the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships on Saturday, October 30. Only ticket applications to that event are being accepted at this time.

Lone Star Park’s eighth Spring Thoroughbred Season begins Thursday, April 15, and continues for 63 dates through Sunday, July 11. The inaugural 19-date Fall Breeders’ Cup Meeting for Thoroughbreds opens Friday, October 1 and lasts through October 31.

Racing will be conducted on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday racing will be conducted only during the Spring season. Weekend and holiday action will begin at 1:35 p.m., and there will be special 5 p.m. post times on July 3 and July 4. Post times for Breeders’ Cup week have not been finalized.

General admission is $3, but there are plenty of daily reserved seating options to further enjoy the live racing experience. Reserved seats are available on the Terrace Level (Grandstand’s second floor), Silks Dining Terrace (Grandstand’s fourth floor), Grandstand Apron (outdoors) and inside the Post Time Pavilion. Private box seating and tables in Silks Dining have traditionally been the areas of prime choice.

The cost of a reserved seat includes admission.

Big Event Days have separate pricing plans. Those days are Kentucky Derby Day (Saturday, May 1), Lone Star Million Day (Monday, May 31) and two Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration Nights (Saturday, July 3, and Sunday, July 4). There is Special Event pricing for Thursday, Oct. 28 and Friday, Oct. 29 (Walmac Lone Star Derby Day) on Breeders’ Cup week, as well.

The Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships is also priced separately, with tickets available to the general public ranging from $25 to $125. Ticket applications to be included in a random drawing after June 4 are available online at or by calling (972) 263-PONY or (800) 795-RACE.

Ticket phone lines - accepting credit card orders only - will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lone Star Park’s East Gate Will Call will open early Monday at 8:30 a.m. for advance orders.

Also, there are a variety of options for groups of 20 or more. For more information, contact Lone Star Park’s group sales department at (972) 237-1197.
