As of Friday morning, September 23, Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie can take in approximately 200 additional racehorses that are seeking refuge from Hurricane Rita. Only horses with proper paperwork (i.e. registration, heatlh papers, and coggins) can be accepted. It does not matter if they are Quarter Horse or Thoroughbred.

Please contact the Lone Star Park race office at (972) 237-1130 and ask for Dale Coleman. He will be in charge of placing the incoming horses in available stalls.
