"Parade of Champions" on Closing Day,
July 23, at Lone Star Park to Benefit Grand Prairie's Charities
The Lone Star Park Charitable Foundation for Grand Prairie will salute
the end-of-meet champions on closing day of Lone Star Park's Spring Thoroughbred
Season with a charitable day at the races and silent memorabilia auction.
The "Parade of Champions" - an homage to the Horse of the Meeting,
top horsemen and other champions during the 66-date season - will take
place Sunday, July 23 in the private setting of the Champions banquet
room on the second floor of the Grandstand.
Individual tickets are $50 and include admission, a delicious lunch buffet
prepared by Executive Chef Jake Duplantis and two drinks coupons. A cash
bar also will be available throughout the day, and the silent memorabilia
auction will close at the start of the eighth race.
Throughout the 11-race live program, top jockeys, trainers and owners
will be saluted for their achievements this season. The setting will provide
guests with an opportunity to mix and mingle with the stars of Lone Star
Park.
All proceeds will benefit the Lone Star Park Charitable Foundation for
Grand Prairie - a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that has awarded
more than $280,000 in grants to Grand Prairie non-profit organizations
and charities since 2002.
Sponsorship tables of eight are also available for $600 and include two
commemorative bottles of wine and advertisement at the event. For more
information or to buy tickets, contact Sharon McClung at (972) 237-1188.
