Pat Day Bronze to Raise Money for Lone Star Park Charitable Foundation Through eBay Auction

A limited edition replica bronze statue of legendary Hall of Fame jockey Pat Day is currently being auctioned on eBay.com to raise money for the Lone Star Park Charitable Foundation for Grand Prairie. The online auction will conclude Thursday, November 8 at 12:15 p.m. CT.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit The Lone Star Park Charitable Foundation for Grand Prairie - a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that has awarded more than $370,000 in total gifts to Grand Prairie, Texas charities since its formation in 2001.

The bronze, designed by Raymond Graf and commissioned by Churchill Downs after Day retired in 2005, is No. 8 of 15 and comes with a signed letter of authenticity from Day and the artist. Graf's bronze, which stands 16 inches tall, captures the unforgettable image of Day raising his eyes and hands toward the sky as he gave thanks to God following his victory in the 1992 Kentucky Derby aboard W.C. Partee's Lil E. Tee.

The bronze is a replica of the life-sized statue situated in the Paddock Gardens at Churchill Downs.

Day, a four-time Eclipse Award winner as North America's Champion Jockey, retired in 2005 with 8,803 lifetime wins and $297,912,019 in career earnings.
