Lone Star Park to Offer 47 Days/Nights
of Free Music Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday During Spring Thoroughbred

days of free, live entertainment at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie. Lone
Star Park is treating guests to performances by local bands in the Courtyard
of Champions every Friday and Saturday throughout the 2010 Spring Thoroughbred
Meet and a live Jazz trio in the Silks Dining Terrace on Sundays. (Please
see attached event schedule for all dates and times.) Free with admission,
patrons can enjoy music ranging from jazz to country.
During May, Lone Star Park will feature their Tribute Band Series during
Party at the Park Friday nights. Bands scheduled to perform include Hard
Night’s Day, Dallas’ best Beatles tribute band; Kraig Parker,
international Elvis impersonator; Petty Theft, a Tom Petty tribute band;
and Crawfish, a Jimmy BuffetT tribute band.
New this season, Lone Star Park will be offering a Sunday Jazz Brunch
in addition to their regular buffet all day every Sunday throughout the
season (except July 4). Featuring omelets, potatoes, and biscuits, the
brunch is $8.95 per person. Between noon and 3 p.m., a live Jazz trio
will perform in the Silks Dining Terrace.
In addition to live music during the races, Lone Star Park offers its
Lone Star Music Series featuring nationally known bands such as Randy
Rogers Band, Blake Shelton, Stoney LaRue, and Casey Donahew. With concerts
following the last race, the Lone Star Music Series is free with admission
before 9 p.m. on Fridays and 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 10. After 9 p.m.
on Fridays and 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, concert admission is $15.
Special VIP concert packages for Blake Shelton on April 10 will be available
online only at LoneStarPark.com.
Priced at $62, or $72 with valet parking (plus tax and handling), these
packages include admission, racing program, reserved seats with buffet
and two beer tickets in the Post Time Pavilion Garden and admittance to
the special VIP section in front of the stage for the concerts.
All concerts will be outdoors, just outside the racing surface, in front
of the sun-shaded Courtyard of Champions. Seating in the lawn area is
first-come, first-served, and there is limited patio table seating in
the Courtyard. Blankets and folding chairs are permitted outdoors.
