Reserved seating for Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie’s upcoming Spring Thoroughbred Season will go on sale Monday (March 8) at 8:30 a.m. The track’s 60-date Spring Thoroughbred Season will kick off 15 weeks of live horse racing on Thursday, April 8.

Customers can reserve seats online at LoneStarPark.com, by calling (972) 263-PONY (7669) for credit card orders only, or in person at Lone Star Park’s East Gate Will Call on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Reserved seating options range from $8 to $27 per person (includes admission), except on big event days, which have separate pricing plans.

The Spring Thoroughbred Season will also feature the 2010 Lone Star Music Series at Lone Star Park with post-race concerts by the Randy Rogers Band (April 9), Blake Shelton, with Opening Act – Kyle Bennett (April 10), Stoney LaRue (April 30), and Casey Donahew Band (June 25).

Special VIP concert packages for Blake Shelton on April 10 will be available online only beginning March 8 at LoneStarPark.com. Priced at $62, or $72 with valet parking (plus tax and handling), these packages include admission, racing program, a reserved seat with buffet and two free beer tickets in the Post Time Pavilion Garden and admittance to the special VIP section in front of the stage for the concerts. “Big Event Days" have separate pricing plans. Those days are -- Kentucky Derby Day (Saturday, May 1), Lone Star Derby Day (Saturday, May 8), Preakness Stakes Day (Saturday, May 15), Lone Star Million Day (Memorial Day, Monday, May 31), Belmont Stakes Day (Saturday, June 5), and Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebrations (Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4).

Other major promotional dates include – Family Fun Day with SpongeBob SquarePants on Sunday, April 11; Lone Star Million Preview Day featuring the Texas Mile and Dollar Day (Saturday, April 24); Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 9); Father’s Day (Sunday, June 20); Stars of Texas Day/Dollar Day (Saturday, July 10); Fan Appreciation Day (Saturday, July 17); and Closing Day (Sunday, July 18).

Lone Star Park’s 60-day 2010 Spring Thoroughbred Season will run four days a week every Thursday and Friday at 6:35 p.m. (except Thursday, June 3 when there will be no live racing), and Saturday and Sunday at 1:35 p.m. starting on April 8. The Lone Star Million Day program on Memorial Day will start at 1:35 p.m. and special twilight programs with post-race holiday fireworks on Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4 (Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration) will start at 5:00 p.m.
